Apr 12, 2024 | News

Kid Power, a free event for children, youth, and families in the Tri-Cities region, will occur on April 20th from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Kingsport Civic Auditorium. Kid Power is held annually to help promote the upcoming Mental Health Awareness Month in May and the mental wellness of children, youth, and their families. There are over thirty participating organizations for Kid Power, and the event will feature a scavenger hunt, food, music, and fun activities for the whole family!

“We continue to see growing issues with children’s behavioral health needs. Therefore, this event is a great way to connect families and children to resources in our community. Kid power helps give families a chance to connect with other families and children and learn about these resources while having some fun at the same time.” – Tim Perry, Sr. VP ofTN Outpatient Services

Many community partners have came together to bring Kid Power together, these partners include:  Food City, TN Voices, ETSU Health, Department of TN Substance Abuse Services, System of Care Across TN, TN Department of Health, Read-N-Play, Mental Health Association and Frontier Health.
