euNoia – A Well Mind Concert
November 13th, gates open at 4 p.m.
Cumberland Square Park, Bristol, VA 24201
For the last several years the Frontier Health Foundation has made great strides in improving our region’s perception surrounding mental and behavioral health. Annual events like Stigma Stops Now, brought voices to our region that opened the door for positive conversations about depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Our world has changed, and the last 18 months have been hard. We have missed our families, friends and all the wonderful opportunities our communities have to offer. That is why our new annual event going forward will be focused on celebrating with the communities we serve! It’s time to come together and celebrate safely with awesome music, great food and a real purpose.
The Frontier Health Foundation is excited to announce our upcoming November 13th, 2021 Annual Event: euNoia, A Well Mind Concert! Eunoia means “A Well Mind” and that is exactly what this concert event will provide. Our event will be held in the beautiful Cumberland Square Park in Historic Downtown Bristol, VA. featuring incredible Award-Winning Artists and delicious food from local Food Truck Partners.
We are so excited to be able to have an event this year where it will allow us to come together safely for a purpose that is close to not only my heart, but the hearts of many in our communities,” stated Kristie Hammonds, President and CEO, “Now, more than ever, we need other.”
Our headliner is none other than Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors, the Emmy Award Winning act hailing from Nashville, TN. With music synced in over 75 of TV’s most watched shows, Holcomb has also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! TWICE! The band has sold over 150,000 albums to date and played over 2,000 concert dates in 7 countries. With several critically acclaimed albums under his belt, Holcomb has been featured by NPR, Entertainment Weekly, Billboard and CMT.
Drawing influence from Tom Petty and Bob Dylan, Drew Holcomb has found his place in today’s landscape of singer/songwriter Americana, while sharing stages with legendary artists like Willie Nelson, Amos Lee, John Hiatt, Zac Brown Band, The Avett Brothers, NEEDTOBREATHE, and Don Henley. Holcomb has traveled the globe with a catalog of vibrant, honest songs and developed their sound through extensive touring and performances at sold out shows like Bonnaroo, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, Stagecoach and more.
Drew Holcomb & The Neighbors have always charged listeners’ hearts and minds while inspiring them to think, feel, dance, and love; never more so than on his 2019 album Dragons. Dragons debuted at #1 Billboard Americana/Folk Albums, #1 Amazon New Albums, and #1 iTunes Singer Songwriter Chart and led to a career spanning feature in which Rolling Stone declared Holcomb as “One of Americana’s Most Popular Stars.”
49 Winchester opens the show bringing their alternative country sound from the heart of Appalachia in Russell County, VA. 49 Winchester delivers the poetically straightforward songs of singer/guitarist Isaac Gibson in a soulful electric live show. The band brings their rock & roll roots planted firmly in the traditions of mountain music. The band made their start in the months after high school in late 2013 and have since made a name for themselves as warriors of the road, independently releasing three albums and playing hundreds of shows across the East and pressing forward to new territories.
“When you listen to Isaac Gibson’s evocative voice, it’s hard to imagine him in any other job. Not to say that he wouldn’t be a good actuary, but you realize that’s not where his real talent lies. His voice is filled with the ache that has fueled countless songs, and it was made to fill dark honkytonks where people want to dance. Beyond that, he has a way of telling a story that makes you pay attention to every word.”

“In many ways, 49 Winchester, the nom de plume of singer/songwriter/guitarist Isaac Gibson, could be considered your stereotypical gruff and gritty homegrown troubadour. Over the course of the past six years, Gibson and his compatriots have made it a point to keep to the basics, be it a blazing combination of drive and defiance, or tears-in-their-beers balladry flush with seething emotion. That’s especially true on the band’s latest outing III, a confident collection that gives voice to the band’s pure, unfettered intents.”
